The “Birgo” guesthouse is a "guest house" well above the guesthouse standard and has through continuous improvements in quality and service become a notable small hotel. The rooms of the “Birgos” ("Birgo"by the way, is a sea shell with a particularly well-shaped helix) are all high in quality and tastefully decorated. They are housed in colorful tropical garden houses with yellow walls and red roofs. Each room has a large sleeping area with a double bed and a bathroom en suite. The rooms are air-conditioned. These garden houses are surrounded by a delicately fragrant garden, which is maintained very well all over. In one area of ​​the garden there is a large, round pool that offers refreshments. It is surrounded by a pool terrace with great sun beds. The reception is placed on one end of this terrace. Here you will find the reception desk, a relaxing tropical lounge, and the small restaurant of this guest house. Incidentally, you can choose whether you want to take your meals here or on the private veranda just outside your room (outdoors). 
 
The location of the “Birgos” on La Digue is not directly on the beach, but it does have two big advantages. It is clearly more contemplative and quieter here than on the far-drawn "Anse Reunion" of La Digue, and you can reach the "Anse de Source d'Argent" and the much underrated "Grand Anse" really fast from here. Since the main mode of traveling on La Digue is by bike anyway, the traveling times are rather short anyway. La Digue is just 3 km wide and 5 km long. Within 1-2 minutes you can reach the beach "Anse Reunion," and all other beaches in 10 minutes.

• The location right in the heart of La Digue is perfect for exploring every beach on the island, especially the "Grande Anse", a fairly unknown but really great beach in the south-east of the island.

• The “Birgo” guesthouse is an ideal starting point for stunningly beautiful hikes to the top of the 333 m high mountain peak in the middle of the island (with a magnificent view of all the inner islands of the Seychelles).
