Heritance Ayurveda Mahagedara is located at Moragalla, Beruwela, 60 kilometres from Colombo and 90 kilometres from the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake. It is situated adjoining the Neptune Hotel, which is another member of the Aitken Spence Hotels group.
Beruwela is the starting point of a 130 km long stretch of golden beach which is one of the prime tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. The bay in the area is ideal for swimming almost around the year and has been one of the reasons for this popularity. The name 'Beruwela' is said to mean 'the place where the sail is lowered' in Sinhala.
The main speciality being Ayurvedic treatments, guests are offered a tranquil atmosphere in harmony with the surroundings.
Accommodation units are well adorned with modern day facilities such as air-conditioning, mini safe, hot/cold water and rain showers while most of the rooms open on to a private garden.
