NEW! The Laranjal Golf Course is the third golf course of Quinta do Lago, Algarve. Set amidst anOrangery, the new Laranjal golf course opens inFebruary 2009. This well defined course boasts the same high standards set by Quinta do Lago Northand South.
Many lakes and obstacles
Laranjal Golf Course's narrow fairways and well defended greens require concentration and accuracy to navigate this testing routing laid down on a rolling and well defined topography.
Quinta do Lago Laranjal course is a par 72, 6.500 meters, with five par 5s, eight par 4s, five par 3s set amongst umbrella pines, cork oaks and orange trees with a natural water course and 5 beautiful lakes.
The most impressive holes
The front nine holes of Laranjal cover 3285 meters and represent a fine introduction to what awaits in the back nine, dotted with lakes and other interesting obstacles, including the so-called "spectator's mount" between the 8th and the 9th hole. The par-3 11th is something special: how many players will try out the "beach bunker"? Tee shots off the 12th, 13th and 14th also require great accuracy.
No constructions on-site
The only construction on Laranjal golf course will be the clubhouse, designed to be rustic in harmony with surroundings, but offering ultra modern confort.
Environmentally Friendly
The lakes of Laranjal golf course are an integral part of the sophisticated drainage and irrigation system which includes two pumping stations and a recycling water system. A fully-computerized system incorporates humidity sensors and individual controls for each zone of the course to ensure maximum efficiency in water usage.
